Open a Christian Financial Account or Apply for a Loan
You can open a
Christian Financial Credit Union
account anytime or from anywhere that is convenient for you. It’s simple and secure to open a new account. It takes just minutes! The online application should not be used in a shared environment, such as a library, as someone may be watching you type in your personal information.
NOTE: Business accounts, HSAs and IRAs are not able to be opened online.
Here's what you will need:
- You must be 18 years of age or older
- Your Social Security Number / Individual Taxpayer Identification Number
- Government Issued Identification (Driver's License, State ID, or Passport)
- If another person will be joint on your accounts, they must enter and validate their personal information
- If funding your new accounts by electronic transfer from another financial institution, you’ll need their routing number and your account number (NOTE: Funding via this method limited to $1,500)
- If funding with a debit or credit card, you’ll need the card number, expiration date, and CVV code. (NOTE: Funding via this method limited to $250)
- $10 for a new member account opening fee

Open your accounts or apply for loans online quickly and easily. If you are not yet a member, you can apply for membership and a loan at the same time! We invite anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Macomb, Oakland, Wayne or St. Clair counties to join! In addition, members of churches in our Field of Membership and employees of one of our Select Employee Groups are eligible. You may also be eligible if you have an immediate family member who belongs to CFCU or are 55 years or older, receive a recurring monthly benefit (such as a pension or Social Security), and live within 25 miles of any CFCU office. NOTE: If you are applying for a loan and new membership at the same time, your new membership will not be opened until your loan is approved.

The HMDA data about our residential mortgage lending is available online for review. The data shows geographic distribution of loans and applications; ethnicity, race, sex, age and income of applicants and borrowers; and information about loan approvals and denials.
