To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

What this means for you:

When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.

You can open a NextMark Federal Credit Union account anytime or from anywhere that’s convenient for you. It’s simple and secure to open a new account. It takes just minutes! And you fund your account right online.

The online application should not be used in a shared environment, such as a library, as someone may be watching you type in your personal information.

Here's what you will need:

To be 18 years of age or older. Not 18 yet? Not a problem. Just call us at 703-218-9900 or stop by a branch to open your account. Please have the following bullet point items handy.
Your Social Security Number / Individual Taxpayer Identification Number.
Government Issued Identification (Driver's License, State ID, or Passport).
If another person will be joint on your accounts, they must enter and validate their personal information.
If funding your new accounts by electronic transfer from another financial institution, you’ll need their routing number and your account number.
If funding with a debit or credit card, you’ll need the card number, expiration date, and CVV code.

Are you new to NextMark Federal Credit Union?

We invite everyone who lives, works (or regularly conducts business in), worships, or attends school in, and businesses and other legal entities located in Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, Stafford, Fauquier, Culpeper, Spotsylvania Counties, Virginia; the Cities of Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas, Manassas Park, or Fredericksburg, Virginia; and members of immediate families or households of NextMark members.

Note: "immediate family member" is any spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, grandchild, stepparent, stepchild, or stepsibling, including adoptive relationships.

Already a NextMark Federal Credit Union Member?

Open additional Savings, Checking, Money Market, Certificates, Club Accounts and enroll in Additional Services online.

Important: Your Member Number is required to open additional accounts. You may find your Member Number in the top section of your monthly account statement.
