Important Information About Procedures for Opening a New Account:
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
What this means for you:
When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.
Here's what you will need:
- To be 18 years of age or older.
- Your Social Security Number or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number.
- One form of Primary Government Issued Photo ID (Valid Driver's License or State Issued ID, or Passport).
- One form of Secondary ID (Social Security Card, Birth Certificate, or Major Credit Card) and Proof of your current physical address (not a PO Box Number).
- If adding a Joint Owner to your account(s) they must provide Primary and Secondary identification information as well.
- If funding your new account(s) by electronic transfer from another financial institution, you will need to provide their routing number and your account number.
