account anytime, from anywhere that is convenient for you. It’s simple and secure to open a new account. It takes just minutes!
The online application should not be used in a shared environment, such as a library, where someone could be watching you type in your personal information.
Here's what you will need:
- To be a resident in New Jersey
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Your Social Security Number / Individual Taxpayer Identification Number
- Government Issued Photo Identification (Valid Driver's License or U.S. Passport)
- If another person will be a joint owner on your accounts, they must enter and validate their personal information
- If you are funding your new accounts by electronic transfer from another U.S financial institution, you’ll need their routing number and your account number

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all Financial Institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
What this means to you: When you open an account, we will ask your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
