Important Information About Procedures for Opening a New Account:
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
What this means for you:
When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, telephone number, date of birth, Social Security number, employer, driver's license number or picture ID. We may also ask to see a copy of these identifying document.
Here is what you will need:
- To be 18 years of age or older.
- To be a US citizen or Permanent Resident.
- A valid Social Security Number/Individual Taxpayer Identification Number.
- An unexpired Government Issued Identification (Driver's License, State ID, or Passport).
- If another person will be joint on your accounts, they must enter and validate their personal information.
- If funding your new accounts by electronic transfer from another financial institution, you’ll need their routing number and your account number.
- If funding with a debit or credit card, you’ll need the card number, expiration date, and CVV code.
