Procedures for Opening a New Account
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activites, Federal Law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
What this means for you:
When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to indentify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.
Open a Verve, a Credit Union, account anytime (and from anywhere you have internet access). The online application is short and, most importantly, secure!
To keep your personal information secure, please do not complete this application in a public setting (such as a library or coffee shop), as someone could be watching you type in your responses.
To get started, you'll need to::
- Be at least 18 years old
- Know your SSN or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number
- Have a government-issued ID (such as a Driver's License or Passport) available to upload
- Be able to enter and validate joint account information
- Have your routing and account numbers (if transferring funds from another financial institution)
- Have your debit or credit card number (with CVV code) handy, if funding your account with a card
