Procedures for Opening a New Account
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal Law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

What this means for you:
When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.

Open a Verve, a Credit Union Individual Retirement Account (IRA) anytime (and from anywhere you have internet access). The online application is short and, most importantly, secure!

To keep your personal information secure, please do not complete this application in a public setting (such as a library or coffee shop), as someone could be watching you type in your responses.

The 2023 IRA contribution limit is $6,500 with $1,000 catch-up contributions for owners aged 50 and older.
The 2024 IRA contribution limit is $7,000 with $1,000 catch-up contributions for owners aged 50 and older.

  • An establish Membership at Verve, A Credit Union is needed before you can add an IRA product-please click here to establish your membership if you are new to Verve, a Credit Union.
  • Be at least 18 years old (if you're getting a paycheck before age 18-Great Job, visit your local Verve, a Credit Union branch to get you IRA started)
  • If under 18 please call (800.448.9228) or stop into your nearest branch
  • Know your Social Security Number (SSN)
  • Have a government-issued ID (such as a Driver's License or Passport) available to upload
  • Be able to enter Beneficiary information (First and Last Name, Address, Relationship, and Phone Number)
