Zeal Credit Union Online Account Application

You can open a Zeal Credit Union account anytime or from anywhere that is convenient for you. It’s simple and secure to open a new account. It takes just minutes! The online application should not be used in a shared environment, such as a library, as someone may be watching you type in your personal information.

The Member Identification Program (MIP), Section 326 of the USA PATRIOT Act, requires all financial institutions to obtain four pieces of information from each person who establishes a new account relationship with our credit union. When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address; date of birth, your tax identification number, and other identifying information that will allow us to identify you. We will also ask to see your unexpired state issued ID such as a driver’s license or state ID or other pictured identifying documents as required by law.

Here's what you will need:

  • To be 18 years of age or older. Minor accounts may be opened with a parent or legal guardian joint on the account.
  • Your Social Security Number.
  • Government Issued Identification (Driver's License, State ID, or Passport) or copy of Birth Certificate and Social Security Card for minors.
  • If another person will be joint on your accounts, they must enter and validate their personal information.
  • If funding your new accounts by electronic transfer from another financial institution, you’ll need their routing number and your account number.
  • If funding with a debit or credit card, you’ll need the card number, expiration date, and CVV code.

You must live in the state of Michigan to open new membership accounts via the online system.
